About
Dayspring
Church

Our story so far

Since our beginnings in 1999 as part of the Vineyard movement in Australia, we’ve grown into a non-denominational church that beautifully blends the practices of the charismatic with the contemplative. We’re all about community, family, spiritual formation, heartfelt worship, the Holy Spirit’s presence, and solid biblical teaching.

After completing a leadership training school at The Vineyard under John and Carol Wimber, Dayspring was planted by pastors David & Narelle Crabtree in their lounge room in 1991. This new church plant quickly outgrew the Crabtree’s lounge room, moving to a local primary school, to a rented building in Salisbury Road, Castle Hill and then finally to our own building (just across the road) at 15 Salisbury Road in 2010. In 2017 David and Narelle transitioned the role of senior leadership to the next generation of leaders. Today, Dayspring is led by Aaron & Kristen Williamson.

The name Dayspring comes from Luke 1:78. It is a reference to Jesus.

Luke 1:78 Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace.

Our heart as a church community is to “give light” to those around us, to guide humanity into the way of peace.
